Water conservancy & hydraulics
Dams, reservoirs, embankments, river training, dikes and flood-control works.
Baichuan Water Conservancy and Electric Power Construction Limited is a Nairobi-based contractor. We build water supply systems, hydraulic structures, power lines, substations, roads and buildings across Kenya and East Africa.
Baichuan is a Kenyan engineering and construction company working in water conservancy, electric power and civil infrastructure. Our technical team has more than fifty years of construction experience behind it, and has worked in Kenya since 2015.
We take projects from survey and design support through construction, installation and commissioning. Our clients are government agencies, county governments, utilities, developers and private companies.
Six areas of work, often combined on a single project.

Dams, reservoirs, embankments, river training, dikes and flood-control works.

Treatment works, storage tanks, pumping stations, transmission mains and distribution pipelines.

Lines and substations up to 220 kV, plus installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Roads, bridges, drainage, street lighting and other public infrastructure.

Commercial, institutional and residential buildings, from structure to fit-out and services.

Parks, irrigation, ecological restoration and environmental protection works.
Work from our portfolio in water, power, transport and buildings.
Because we own our heavy equipment, we control cost and schedule from site setup to handover.

Site visit, feasibility and a clear statement of requirements.
Design support, bill of quantities and a construction programme.
Our own crews and plant, working to written HSE procedures.
Testing, as-built records, operator training and defects support.
